Getting Started with Desktop App for AI Projects

  1. 1. Download the executable for your operating system (Windows only available for now).
  2. 2. When downloading, your browser (like Chrome) may show a warning about the file not being commonly downloaded. Click "Keep" or "Download Anyway" - this is normal for unsigned executables.
  3. 3. Save the executable file in a safe location on your computer.
  4. 4. When launching for the first time on Windows, you may see a "Windows protected your PC" message because the app is not signed. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway" to proceed.
  5. 5. Double-click the executable to launch the app - no installation needed!
  6. 6. Drag and drop files or use the file picker to select files for conversion to AI-friendly Markdown.
  7. 7. Choose your output directory and click "Convert" to start the process.
  8. 8. Use the resulting Markdown files directly with your AI models, chatbots, or LLM applications.

Important Note

The desktop app is currently unsigned, which means you'll see security warnings when downloading and running it for the first time. This is normal and expected. The app is completely safe to use - it's just that we haven't purchased a code signing certificate yet.
